Our Extended Family

Sue's Family at Christmas

Sue’s immediate family is very large - she is the youngest of seven children - and has fifteen nieces and nephews and 5 great-nieces/nephews. Most live in or near New Jersey which is why we visit the east coast a few times a year including Christmas. This is an important tradition for Sue’s family. We go to church, exchange gifts, play games, and eat a lot and every once in a while get to play in the snow. We also visit friends in New York City and visit museums and Central Park, and every summer we visit the Jersey shore. A few of Sue’s family visit us every year too. Sam has already flown to the east coast four times in his first year- he loves flying!

Patrick’s immediate family consists of his dad, who lives outside Yosemite National Park, and his sister, who lives near San Francisco. Thanksgiving is spent with Patrick’s family here in California. Through out the year, we take mini-vacations to Tahoe or Sequoia National Park and hike, ski, and roast marshmallows on an open fire. We love to travel, experience new people and places and would love to share this with both with Sam and a new baby.
